Hair extensions have been a part of the African hairstyling process for as long as we can remember, offering multiple benefits to the wearer. Benefits range from the ability to try bold, new looks, to being able to relax under the protection of a protective hairstyle.
While the perks of hair extensions are endless, let’s not deny that they do come at a hefty price. Let’s face it – human hair extensions are an expensive product to invest in. If you want good extensions that look like human hair, more often than not, you will need to pay an arm and a leg for them. Even if you do find cheap hair extensions in the market, they will more likely have a synthetic feel to it. Then their shelf life too is a horror in itself. At the end of the day, the main worry when purchasing synthetic hair is how fake the product looks overall. Trust us girl, as women who have gone down that route ourselves, we totally feel your pain.
Fortunately for us, it’s as if Darling heard our tales of woe and decided to turn our frowns upside down. The brand recently revealed their line of new hair extensions and we could not be more eager about their entry into the African and American markets. We were allowed a little sneak-peak into the new range and were surprised about how real the extensions looked and felt. Not only were they easy on the pockets but were also incredibly smooth and soft to the touch. We tried them on and we kid you not, it felt like we were wrapping our curls with fine strands of silk.
Our gut tells us, it’s definitely one to watch out for and worth the hype. We’ll bring you more detail on Darling’s new hair extension range, soon. Stay tuned into our blog and Instagram for some yummy looking styles using them.
