Winter is coming!
Winter is coming which means it is time to invest time and effort into a serious scalp care regimen. Of course, you need to switch up your hair care regimen during winter for healthy locks.
First things first, always…ALWAYS cover up. While it is important to cover up, woollen scarves and hair can pull and tug against your hair causing friction and can also rob it of moisture. Make sure your hair is well moisturized with a leave-in conditioner such as African Pride Moisture Miracle Coconut Milk & Honey Leave-In Conditioner enriched with the moisturizing benefits of coconut and honey.
Nourishing deep conditioning treatments are needed, especially during the winters as heaters can dry up your precious tresses. In case your hair is super dry and cannot hold the moisture in, use the LOC method. Use natural oils such as African Pride Moisture Miracle 5 Essential Oils enriched with grapeseed, castor, coconut, olive and argan oil. Can it get any better than this? We think not!
Snow, sleet and heat can do real damage to your ends. Hence, wearing your hair in protective hairstyles can keep them safe and moisturized. Lastly, switch to silk or satin pillowcase. Even better if you have a satin bonnet as it will reduce the friction caused by cotton.
