Hair Care

Summer is synonymous with fun but does it hold true for afro hair? This is debatable. Summer brings the harsh sun, the ruthless humidity and the scorching heat to take a toll on your hair. All the “hat” and scarves’ fans get through this part a bit easier. Furthermore, trendy hats can make an original style statement.

Then comes the dryness. It always keeps you on your toes, even in summers. Drinking 4-6 litres of water every day would keep you hydrated as well as send that moisture to your hair. In addition, you can also make a healthy concoction of oil (any kind of oil of your choice) and water and fill it in a spray bottle. Carry it along and keep spraying it on your hair at regular intervals. The more natural the care, the more effective it is. Make some room for sprinkling water on your Bantus during your bed-time routine, so that your tresses don’t become dry and brittle over-night.

Summers can also risk a chance of a lot of product build-up on your scalp. This is because of the deep conditioning and leave-in conditioners we use for moisturization. Cleaning that build-up with a stimulating shampoo is the kind of pro-activeness you need this season. These small deeds of kindness for your hair will save your summer from being a bummer!
