Here at Black Hair Hub, we try out products so that you don’t have to blow money trying out products in search of what works best. You’re welcome! Here are the products we’ve been using and loving lately. These are worth writing home about.
Oops. I’ve been experiencing a flare up in terms of an itchy scalp. It might be a case of dandruff! So I’ve been religiously using the TCB Naturals Anti-Dandruff Leave-in Spray with coconut oil and menthol. It cools my scalp instantly! I then follow it up with the TCB Naturals Anti Dandruff Hair Food which contains a special menthol formula that helps treat dandruff, reduces flakes and relieves itchiness and aids in soothing the scalp.
I had my braids in for 6 weeks before I took them down. Yeah…6 weeks! So there is bound to build-up of dirt and product. Hair becomes really loc’d as well, meaning taking down the braids could end up in knots and breaking hair. I avoided all that damage by using the African Pride Black Castor Miracle Moisture & Detangling Masque. After undoing my braids, I slathered it on and let it sit for 15 minutes. I then proceeded to wash my hair as usual. It prevented my hair from knotting and the hair was also soo…soft. I highly recommend this product if you haven’t tried it.
Since I got one of these for my natural hair…I am never going back. You can take that to the bank. I would never sell this brush to you if you offered me money. We wrote about it in this article about Types of Hair Combs and How To Use Them. I use this to lay down and brush my hair down after applying African Pride Shea Butter Miracle Silky Edge Gel ! The brush lays the hair down so well!
To bring you accurate and scientifically backed black hair advice, I have been reading this highly reviewed book called ‘’The Science of Black Hair’ by Audrey Davis-Sivasothy. And I must say, so far so good. The book teaches you everything from hair pH, caring for chemically treated hair, ingredients, growing long hair and a host of other topics.
I’m obsessed with beads in all shapes, sizes, materials and colours. I want them all! Pretty sure you do too. That’s why I wrote about them in BHH Trendspotter: Braids & Beads Hairstyles To Try Now So they obviously made it to this edition of our top picks.
