Dreadlocks come in all lengths, thickness and colours. We love them for their look, significance in our lives and feel. Your fave celebs also live the loc life. Here are a few female Kenyan loc’d celebs living and loving their locs:
This uber talented artiste cooks up some of the best head-bopping tunes in the +254. She has seen massive success in the past few years with her music. Her career is flourishing along with her dreadlocks! So much so that the natural hair brand ‘’Marini Naturals’’ made her a brand ambassador. Go Fena!
The confident and outspoken Ciru Muriuki is a Broadcast Journalist at BBC Africa with former stints at other radio and Tv stations. She’s been sporting locs for the longest time and she looks damn good in them. She’s worn them black and dyed them brown at some point. They are now at almost mid-back length. Her highlights make for a beautiful contrast.
Silvia Njoki is a Kenyan fashionista with an amazing eye for style. She’s an award-winning fashion and lifestyle blogger who has worn locs for the longest time. We’ve seen her wear long and short locs, coloured one time and black the other. She’s currently rocking short locs. We approve Silvia. We approve!
Nazizi is among the pioneers of hiphop in Kenya. She may have been MIA for a while now but she’s been staging a major comeback. Her dreadlocks are to die for to say the least. She has magnificent, long locs that make you want to start growing your own!
These celebrities definitely wear locs well. Which one is your favourite?
