If your natural hair is super dry and if you’re looking for a solution – you’ve come to the right place. Hair steaming involves providing your hair with essential moisture using some good ol’ H2O, only this time, in the form of steam.
Is It Good For You?
Hair streaming is extremely beneficial as by steaming your hair, your moisturizing products won’t just sit on top of the hair shaft but will penetrate deep, providing essential moisture to your hair.
How to Steam Natural Hair at Home?
There are plenty of ways to steam natural hair. If you’d like to do it at home, read on to know exactly how.
Wash Cloth or Towel Method: Wash your hair well. Now sectioning your hair, use a good dollop of Profectiv Mega Growth Deep Conditioner and once done, whilst your hair is still wet, cover it all up under a shower cap. Then place a wet towel or washcloth in the microwave for 30 seconds. Wrap it over the shower cap. Taking another shower cap, place it over the towel so that the steam does not escape. Leave it on for 10 minutes.
The Cling Film Method: After parting your hair in sections, apply Profectiv Mega Growth Deep Conditioner onto each section. Now, place a shower cap on top and place 3 layers of cling film on the shower cap. Soak a towel in warm water, remove excess water and place it on top of your head for 15 minutes. This will ensure super deep conditioning. Make sure you use a leave-in conditioner such as Profectiv Mega Growth Anti-Breakage Leave-In Conditioner to seal in the moisture.
