New month, new festivals new hairstyles! The next few months will be filled with festivals galore. From the Koroga to Nyege Nyege festivals, there are a million festivals coming up, among other exciting ones. As you hop from one festival to the next, here are a few hairstyles to inspire your festival hairstyles for the remaining quarter of the year.
The normal bantu knots involve twisting the hair and making a knot. Try sectioning your hair into large sections. Braid up the sections and tie them into a knot. Then finish off with some glam accessories for the cherry on top. Don’t forget the edges!
A top knot is always a good idea. It looks polished and proper. Imagine this with your chic pair of octagon-lenses sunglasses and trendy waist bag. To achieve a top knot, use loads of gel and a fine tooth comb to lay down the hair. Then tie your hair into a knot. Or add an extension if your hair is a bit short. Isn’t this such a look? I call this ‘’I fell into the hedge but I got out fine’’. Comb your hair out and add some flowers in there. You will look like you were kissed by the gardener, I mean an angel, himself.
Give off boho vibes with long hair and a bowler hat or even a wide-brimmed hat. Add some temporary tattoos and layered necklaces. I speak for everyone when I say, you will look tres chic! In Spanish, they would say muy elegante even!
Unlike bad decisions, you can wash off temporary hair colour at the end of the day. Try spraying a pastel hue like pink, blue or even mint…At least there’s no com-MINT-ment! See what I did there? No? Okay.
Take this photo to your hairstylist and tell them ‘’This. I want what she has on her hair’’. Attend your next festival and see whether all eyes won’t be on you. They surely will! In a good way of course.
