They say that the key to being remembered lies in one’s fashion choices. Trust us girl, no one knows fashion better than us. Your hairstyle can make or break your look and boy do we know the secret to make your look work.
Havana twists are the latest in a long line of fashionable hairstyles and we understand why. Inspired by the Havana rope twist, this hairstyle is one that perfectly walks that fine line between casual chic and runway style.
Do you want to know the best part of this twist? Well, it’s that you can purchase it ready-made of course!
We’re talking about and rejoicing in Darling launching it’s very own pack of these, and what tops it is that they are available in 10 stunning colours (One for every mood, we’re guessing!) all extremely easy to manage and a total dream to wear.
But…how do you wear them, you ask?!?
Relax ladies, we’re getting there!
Below is a step by step guide to stitching in your very own pack of Havana twists:
The Havana Twist is a protective hairstyle. It is therefore recommended that you wash, condition and dry your hair before starting this hairstyle. We suggest using Motions Active Moisture Neutralizing Shampoo and Motions Active Moisture Plus Conditioner. These products work in tandem to provide your curls with the moisture and nourishment that they need to prep them for the twist.
Start by parting your hair down the middle. We recommend creating a middle partition if you are a beginner, but if you have a preference – who are we to stop you?
Separate your curls into four diagonal sections and hold them in place with a clip. After doing this, split each diagonal section into four vertical sections.
Split one of the vertical sections into two halves. Ensure that the two halves are separated from one another and are not attached at any point.
Using your fingers, stretch each half to the right and start twisting the halves until they become coils.
Take one piece of the prepared extensions and place it at the centre of the two coiled sections. Divide the extension and place each half on either section of the coil. Start twisting the coils again until the extension fully intertwines with the coil.
Wrap the left coil over the right coil once. Then twist each coil in the same direction. After this is done, wrap the right coil over the left coil and twist the coils together. Continue the alternate wrapping and twisting of coils until both the coils are properly entwined. You’ll know the twist is properly done if it’s staying by itself you complete it
Now that you’ve mastered the perfect twist, repeat steps 3 – 7 until your entire head is covered in Havana Twists.
Now that you know how to stitch in the perfect hair extensions, what are you waiting for? Get out there and pick up your pack now.
