Celebrity Hairstyles

Straight out of a fantasy novel, this one. The world witnessed a fairytale moment on May 19, 2018. News channels broadcasted it, Twitter had it trending and ecstasy rolled all over the internet when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were married at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Everybody had their eyes glued on to how beautiful and elegant the new Duchess of Sussex looked! So, let’s recap this global spectacle of a royal wedding.
The blushing bride, a sheer ‘vision in white’, wore a Clare Waight Keller’s wedding gown. Her hair relaxed, Meghan stuck with her signature messy bun for her wedding day hair look giving enough room for the intricately designed, not to mention, historical tiara (belonging to the late Queen mother and lent to her by the Queen), her veil and a beautiful, long train. Her hair was decorated by Serge Normant who supported Meghan’s notion of not overdoing the volume of the hairdo by overloading it with products. We love the simplicity and agree that a bride should look best on her wedding day but that beauty should come from within. All in all a simplistic and elegant approach to the whole ensemble. The glow on Meghan’s face is a testimony to her happiness. She echoed an aura of sanctity in a way that gave every little girl major wedding goals.
Swiftly changing into a Stella McCartney halter dress for the wedding reception, the Dutchess of Sussex yet again managed to look effortlessly chic there too! Her hair was drawn back into a chignon with loose strands at the front which gorgeously framed her beautiful face. In an attempt to look regal, she didn’t shy away from being herself and that’s what we love the most about her!
Let’s also take a moment to spell out our awe for the mother of the bride, Doria Ragland. Poised, stoic and graceful all through. We love how her roots reign with her dreadlocks narrating tales of experience and wisdom. Her nobility was subtly announced on the big day. Doria opted for a pistachio hued dress and minimal makeup. It’s safe to say that the mother and daughter duo love to keep it classy and original. We’re so taken in by these two that we will be following them closely. Watch this space for more.
