During a radio interview, Maureen Waititu described herself as a lawyer, entrepreneur, mother, TV hostess and mother. Maureen’s star has been growing bigger and brighter all the while juggling her many roles with finesse. Her ascension to fame has seen her become synonymous with some amazing hairstyles that you definitely should try! Here are some dazzling styles to inspire your next salon appointment:
The slicked down hair with a centre part fits her face shape perfectly. Adding a curly extension to it really elevates the look tenfold. Try an extension that is a slightly lighter colour than your hair for a fun twist. The lower the ponytail the better for this look.
This looks like it is growing right out of her scalp! Whoever blended her hair with the weave is definitely a hair guru. If you have relaxed hair, leave out the front part while adding extensions to the back part. Hold the front into a messy bun, lay down your edges and voila! Chic updo!
Feeling glamorous? Try some loose curls on the ends of your straight hair. Comb it such that it covers enough of your face. All that’s left is for you to look into the camera with a piercing gaze like Maureen in this photo. Hello Kenyan Marylin Monroe!
Comb the hair into a ponytail at the centre of the head. Create a thick bun using long Fluffy kinky braids from Darling. Then use the same braids to create a curly, fluffy fringe. This look is perfect for any occasion.
Obviously Maureen got the memo that said everyone should come armed and gorgeous. This cornrow look can be achieved by braiding the front. Ditch the extensions for the front half and save them for the back half. Add some bulky, afro hair to the back half to add volume and texture. Or you could just comb out your afro! Add some hair accessories for an added effect.
