Love is in the hair! I mean…In the air. Cupid’s started going around with his love bow and arrow, bringing together loved ones for the better part of February. The weatherman predicts alluring curls, long cascading hair and red lips this Valentine’s! Whether spending the night/day or out, here are some ideas for your special day with your loved one:
Behold-Large, bouncy curls. And not just that. But large, bouncy curls that are coloured. Opt for free-falling curls this Valentine’s and add a fringe to it. A tiered dress and gladiator sandals accompanied by a to-die-for mini bag? Careful…You may be confused with a Hollywood starlet. 😉
Flapper dress on, mood high, hair did! Amp up your hair using long, wavy extensions and a dreamy flower crown. Add some sparkle with fancy heels and a red ensemble for a va va voom evening. Pair your hair with a bold lip colour and whatever you do, don’t forget to enjoy yourself.
Another way to look divine for your better half this Valentine’s is to go for a short curly hairstyle. Top it all off with the most beautiful fascinator you can find. This look is worn most suitably with some stud earrings and a subtle necklace for spice. Think long evening gowns and satin heels. Your carriage awaits you, princess!
If you have no time or room for complicated hairstyles, wear your hair in a pineapple and call it a day. Lay your edges using African Pride Black Castor Miracle Hold & Cover Edges found here. Add some hair accessories in your curls like clips or trinkets. Alternatively, add some golden pins on the sides of your hair umph. Don’t have hair that you can tie up into a pineapple? Just get Darling Afro Diva weave and get your hairstylist to make it into an extension for you. Problem solved! Check out the stunning Afro Diva hair here
Get braided this Valentine’s. Use Darling’s Kinky braids in the colour number 2 and number 33 for a gorgeous swirl of black and brown. Speaking of Kinky, have you tried Darling’s range of crochet faux locs? What I love about them is that you can manipulate them to fit your requirements. Ask your stylist to wrap the ends of your faux locs in perm rods and dip them in hot water. I know your diamante necklace and Valentine’s outfit are on standby to go with the faux locs. Strut your stuff!
